976 Evil (DVD)
|
The DVD says: A demonic stranglehold has befallen the sleepy little town of Garden City, California. The evil is as pervasive and all-encompassing as the web of telephone lines hovering overhead the town's unsuspecting inhabitants. Young Spike, a teen biker and James Dean 'wanna-be', takes a big loss in a poker game against a local gang, "The Barracudas". The gang gives him an ultimatum: deliver some quick cash or the ownership documents to his motorcycle, his one prized possession. To take his mind off his problems, Spike dials the telephone number 976-Evil he has delivered on a calling card. He is offered the demonic exhortations of none other than the devil himself. Spike's nightmare is just beginning. Running Time: 90 mins Region: 2 Ratio: 4:3 Sound: Dolby Digital 2CH Special Features: Photo Library Certificate: 18 My Opinion: Robert Englund's directorial debut brought us 976 Evil. This movie is your typical 80's horror movie which promises so much, but in the end doesn't deliver it. Again Digital Entertainment forget about the extras, sound and picture quality to bring us cheap DVDs, but I'm sure Cinema Club will provide cheap DVDs with extras, so they'd better buck up their ideas. |
