The Video says:

Passion, obsession and horror combine to recreate the most terrifying and shattering story of all time - Mary Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN. It is the late eighteenth century. After the death of his beloved mother, young Victor Frankenstein leaves his father and Elizabeth, the adopted sister he passionately loves, to attend university. Here he is befriended by the cheerful Henry Clerval, and becomes obsessed by the teachings of Professor Waldman who believes that living creatures can actually be created from dead matter. As cholera rages through the town, Frankenstein closets himself away with an ample supply of corpses determined to prove his theory correct. One electrifying night, his efforts are rewarded as his creature struggles to life. After initial euphoria, Victor realises the full horror of what he has done, and tries to destroy the creature before returning home to marry his beloved Elizabeth. But the terrifying creature lives on. Alone, despised and driven by a rage of emotional agony, it sets off to find its' maker... and so begins the nightmare that will engulf Victor Frankenstein and all those he loves.

My Opinion:

Very good. Branagh takes on the horror industry with this supposedly true to the book remaking of Frankenstein. Helena Bonham Carter is stunning as Branagh's adopted sister turned lover and De Niro acts his heart out as the monster. Not as gory as it should have been, but still deserves a high rating.
