The Video says:

When scientists tamper with nature, mankind gets bitten back - with a vengeance. Screenwriter John Sayles and director Joe Dante, who sank their teeth into "The Howling", follow this principle in their earlier collaboration "Piranha", in which moviegoers just starting to go back into the water after "Jaws" get the bite from sealife considerably smaller than a great white shark - but no less deadly. Underneath a Texas full moon, two venturesome teenagers skinny-dip where they shouldn't, setting off an investigation that reveals a secret government project: Operation Razorteeth, the breeding of a mutant strain of deadly piranha for use as a Vietnam War weapon. An accident releases them into Lost River Lake, site of a children's summer camp and newly-opened resort. If a boozy outdoorsman and a pert missing persons investigator can't get downstream in time, unsuspecting vacationers will become the diet of an insatiable underwater killing machine.

Running Time: 90 mins

My Opinion:

The classic piranha story returns to video at last. A classic, but, as usual, it is starting to show it's age. In a way, it's better than Jaws, but it lacks the build up music. At a bargain basement price, it's well worth buying.
