The Video says:

From the director of Accion Mutante, The Day of the Beast is a devilishly funny, action-packed comedy with a body count that reaches the hundreds. A wicked parody of doom prophecy movies, it tells of a priest who fears the birth of the Antichrist and the end of the human race as we know it. Set in a fictional, infernal Spanish version of Bethlehem, Professor Angel Berriartua has been studying the Apocalypse according to St. John. After 25 years of research, he comes to the conclusion that the Antichrist will be born in Madrid on Christmas Day. Convinced that the Devil lurks in heavy metal music, he sets out with his stereo headphones at full blast to detect and destroy the Beast. With time running out, he enlists the help of "Death Metal" fanatic, Jose Maria and together they track down a celebrity TV parapsychologist who shows them an intriguing way to invoke Satan. In a race against time, Angel realises he may have to sacrifice his own soul to confront the Devil in an apocalyptic show-down.

My Opinion:

I wasn't expecting much from this spanish language, english subtitled movie, but was pleasantly surprised to find out this is a quite funny. The little priest is perfectly cast in this role, along with his heavy metal loving friend. This is actually enjoyable to watch right to the end, where I was a little disappointed. Nevertheless, that doesn't stop me from recommending this, if you're looking for some light horror relief.
